How CHESLA Is Helping Borrowers During COVID-19
CHESLA understands this is a difficult time financially for many of our borrowers and we have taken a proactive approach to assist.
At this time, CHESLA is not referring borrowers to collections and has instructed its collection company to cease collection efforts through September 30, 2020. As of March 23rd, CHESLA stopped receiving defaulted borrower state tax refunds through September 30, 2020. Borrowers may also request a forbearance by contacting our loan servicer. Please keep in mind that interest will continue to accrue during any forbearance period.
