CHESLA loans are available for undergraduate, graduate and professional study. Borrowers must be enrolled at least half-time in an accredited, non-profit college or university in Connecticut or be a Connecticut resident attending an accredited, non-profit college or university anywhere in the U.S. on at least a half-time basis.

An eligible out-of-state institution is a college or university that is based in the United States and is accredited and not for profit. Please contact Firstmark's Origination Hotline at 800-935-2275 (option 3 for new borrowers) if you have a question as to whether your institution is eligible.
